My Camera Died

for some reason my camera will not play back tapes anymore. can anyone help me, obviously this has to happen at the worst possible time ever.
 
If it's just a playback problem then use another deck (camera) to capture into your editor. I have the same situation....records fine but garbage out, so I just use another camcorder for playback.

the camera turns on and records, everything else works fine. but there is an X on the top left corner. When i go to play back anything it doesnt work. I'm guessing its something wrong with my heads. I'm gonna get them cleaned. Once before i had this dvx100 completly rust on the inside from humidity on a shoot in florida. I had to rush delievery the thing back to NJ than back to florida to have it break again than overnight it back to florida. ... i still love the thing ...
 
thanks a bunch. I'm going to try one of the tapes. My cameara gets alof of usage. I use my dvx100 almost EVERYDAY. I've had the thing since winter of 2003. I use the thing for almost everything even audio recording. I love the DVX. Only wish the HVX didnt cost an arm and a leg.

or only record HD on the f*(&ing p2 cards that cost the other arm and leg.
