My best work! Awesome lighting!

Hey guys. I directed and shot a music video to the song "Meant to Live" by Switchfoot. I didn't film the band, it's sort of a message video for the song. This is by far my best work, my best directing, my best lighting/cinematography. Here are some grabs. I still need to make some final touches on the video itself. We planned this out in like two hours and casted in about 5 minutes. We shot everything in one day. I edited it in about 2 days. I have some great behind the scenes footage as well showing step by step of every scene. Let me know what you guys think.

1. This is one of my favorites. That's me by the way.

Haha! Sorry guys! Dang it. I hate putfile! I stayed up all night putting these up. Ok, I will try imageshack. Thank you!

Alright i take my comment back. Some of them look pretty good - good job on 4, 5, 6, and 7. However grab number 2 didnt look so good. Was this all ambient lighting?

geez...
So at least we know what you think of your own work. How about letting someone else comment on your work rather than posting and telling us how awesome you are. Personally not impressed...

right. especially when you're going off on how awesome it is-it's hard for me to be impressed with any of your shots.

Agreed with most comments above. Some of the shots look ok but when you preemptively brag about it you're probably not going to get the best comments. Please post a link when you have the vid up somewhere.

definitely didnt like the bragging. to be honest, i looked at the first couple of pictures and read your comments about each one and found myself rushing to the last comment on the thread so that i could post on how, because of your over-confidence, i don't even care about the grabs.

try again, but leave out the comments.

i agree with alot of the comments already made on this thread, i dislike the over hyping of someone's own work, it somewhat gives me a negative view towards the person before i even begin to study the material.

its a shame, the shots are ok, but dont particularly stand out to me. If your happy with your own work then thats fine, but to rave about it so much puts alot of people off.

one or two of the grabs i looked at looked were not lit in my opinion, and were relying on ambient light, making the shot look flat and unappealing. i have always thought that lighting is a creative medium that alows you to experiment however, if a shot is unlit or lit badly, it can look extremely dull.
