My AF100's image quality has suddenly dropped

With Canon service in Irvine, CA you can just drop it off in person. Don't know if Panasonic has the same policy.

This is intriguing.. you say when the camera heats up it happens... a tiny amount of trapped moisture somewhere that fogs ... at a wild guess

Well, I got my camera back from the Panasonic Service Center in Los Angeles today and they concluded that the main board needed to be replaced. They said that they have had some AF100's come in for issues along the lines of physical or self-inflicted damages, but that this was the very first one (a least for the LA office) that was a "natural" hardware failure.

interesting, just got my cam last week and i've been doing some tests with everything set to 0 and get the same type of results in low light that you got...not even that low either and properly exposed. looks even more horrible on a large TV screen.

I got my camera about a month ago and I'm still doing tests on it to get the best image even using of the recommended scene files, but it still not looking the best. If I can't shoot a nice scene in low light (with a fast lens) what's the point really, is it a day-time only camera? I wonder if a few af-100's just escaped the factory with a malfunctioning sensor.

Or, I'm just an idiot and don't know how to use the camera.

Well, best thing to do is post examples so people can see what you are getting. Low light works decent on my AF100, so I've been happy with it with fast lens.

Agreed, an update would be nice. Preferably shots of something you have screenshots of already for comparison's sake.

Sorry bout that, didn't see the comments. I don't have any of the new footage on my laptop, it's all on my main computer. I will post some footage asap. It looks great, though.

These were taken from a documentary I am directing/shooting at the moment (hens my absence on the board):
