My AF100's image quality has suddenly dropped

You know... this is the same reason I sold my HMC150, because of the horrid noise I got from it, it looks exactly like what you are showing screenshots of, shooting to the AVCHD codec...

Just a thought.

Plenty of people do not have these problems. It doesn't have anything to do with AVCHD.

I know, and alot didn't have that problem with the HMC150, all I was implying was that it could be a similar sensor manufacturing error, that when written to AVCHD resulted in that, testing it over HDMI never got the noise.

I borrowed a friends nanoflash and it was still happening. I think it goes beyond the codec.

I would let a Panasonic tech check it out .. something's not right for sure. This is not the normal operation of this unit at all.
I can't tell if it's a sensor issue or optical .. the first set of images you sent made me think it was an optical issue at first .. but
the second set look like a sensor issue.

We had a weird issue with one of our Lumix lenses pumping up the noise .. but a reboot of the camera fixed it. Nothing
as marked as your issue though.

this is by far a very concearning issue, but id like to discard things one by one, as you explained the camera worked fine before, and now it doesnt, my 2cnts: try the camera with a panasonic made lens, for this camera, to discard the posiblity that the adaptor is not well adjusted and generating issues...
second--- id check on the rotating nd and make sure its aligned, if it werent, it could create vigneting artifacts, and weird focusing, wich to whay i understand is mone of your major problems right now...
third, if the above dont solve anything, try viewing your video from uncompressed native outputs to find out whether its a codec problem or not...

a last minute thought, what card brand and class are you using? have you tried anotherone? it is also possible random and one and in a million chances but why not discard issues one by one.

he said he used a Nano and had the same problem .. so it's not card or AVCHD encoder issue.

So do you think it could be my Kipon Micro 4/3 EOS adapter? It's the best one I could get at the moment :/

And by that, I mean that it's the only on I have heard anything relatively good things about. I heard that redrock may be releasing an adapter soon...any news on this?

I returned a Kipon adaptor because of the lack of a snug, non-movable fit. Do you have any other lenses or could you borrow something else to try? To my eye, Kipon seems to be the weak link here.

Couldn't you just wrap a black tshirt around the adapter and back of the lens and see if the image clears up? That would get rid of the light leak if it exists for a test.
