My 30 Second Car Commercial

For our editing class we had to make a 30 second car commercial, and because I have late charges on equipment in the equipment room at school (too poor to pay the 20 dollar late fine), I couldn't take out the equipment I needed to do this properly (I had a Lowell light kit waiting for me, and a shotgun mic w/boom pole).

So instead, I went home, grabbed the DVX and stood outside for about 30 seconds and shot myself. Three shots, and the rest is photoshop.

It's due tomorrow, so I figured I'd get it done after school...why not, eh?

Two hours of post, and this is what I got...

I was actually kind of skeptical about posting something...this is my first post in here (well, my storyboards don't count), and it's pretty nerve wrecking, especially seeing some of the quality work on this board.

Glad some of you found enjoyment in it...it's cheesy, but it's intentional, and it's fun.

Pretty interesting mix making a cheap video game out of video to mantain high quality of the product thou (and still keep the "crappy" animation of cut up bodies) you gotta make the titles and theimages of the lot really, REALLY high quality (higher then the video of the spot). Right now it look slower and it cheapens the spot.

Patryk, oh yah, for sure. The longest part about putting it together was finding enough pictures bigger than 320x240 that I could use in it.

And yeah, I got an A...but if you saw the quality of the other peoples work, I kind of HAD to get it. Not talking my work up, I'm just talking theirs down .
