My 24p test

I just received my Panasonic and did a few 24p test with it and noticed that the recorded footage when played back seems really staggered but not as bad as seen through the view finder. I started with the F6 settings and tweaked them a little bit to match the suggested settings from other users so I don't think it's a setting problem so is there anything else I might have overlooked or is this just how it's recorded and can be fixed in post? Also I'd love to purchase a anamorphic lense adapter but am a little strapped for cash right now so has anyone used the "Squeeze" mode on the DVX100 and have you experienced any loss of resolution or detail? or should I shoot in 4:3 and change the aspect ratio in post?
Help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Re: My 24p test

Can you elaborate on your definition of staggered (where you trying to film objects in motion) ?

Someone else maybe able to help with your squeeze question, I have not used that feature just yet.

Re: My 24p test

Your 24p footage will always be more stuttery than what you normally see with a video camera. that is just one of the asthetics of 24p. The key is to figure out how to use that to your advantage, as opposed to seeing it as a dissadvantage. I simply cannot shoot anything in 60i after having shot in 24p for six months now. As far as squeezed mode goes, I use it all the time. I think it looks great, however, you do lose some resolution as compared to the animorphic adapter. If you are just watching it on a TV, I don't think the downsides of the the adapter warrent the slightly higher detail that you recieve. So, if you are staying on TV, even widescreen DVD, you may just want to use the squeez or letterbox mode. However, if you want that extra resolution than use the adapter.
