Hey guys, so i've been posting ski videos all winter and i just made my 2012 reel, so i figured I post it up so you guys could check out.

Please watch full screen.
Shot with FS100 with a glidecam 4000, tokina 11-16, tamron 17-50, sony 18-200 and zeiss 50mm.

Awesome video my friend. I am also in the action sports industry moving into the Sony FS systems. Any recommandations on a good fisheye to use? I want something very wide. Skateboarding-style. Keep up the great work by the way!

Speaking as a decidedly unsporty and very middle aged shooter, I found your reel had the soles of my feet sweating, and adrenaline worked its way into every joint as I imagined what it must be like to hurtle downhill on a couple of planks carrying an FS100 on a GlideCam. People like you do this so well, I'm glad people like us don't have to. :)

+1 on the Nat sound, btw. Nice touch.

I use a tokina 11-16 and 11mm is WIDE. if you want more of the fisheye look, check out a rokinon 8mm (worst) simga 10mm (middle) nikon 10.5mm (best)

This is exactly what I try to simulate! glad you liked it!

Nice work. I really like the footage! Must be pretty heavy to hold the HD-4000 with FS100 & Tokina!

I looked into the Nikon 10.5mm and as good as it looks there is no manual aperture... So how am I supposed to use it?

I watched this again and it blows me away even more. The audio was amazing too! What were you using? Lost of post on the audio?

all of the skiing/rail audio is native from the clip same with the landings of every feature but alot of the lip takeoff noises are added.

Slightly off topic.

What's that shade round the FS100 LCD in your avatar please?

Looks exactly what I need. I used to have Hoodman shades for my other cameras but I don't think they do one for the FS100 or dealers in the UK don't stock it.

I have really enjoyed watching all your videos that you've posted. I have been amazed that you can keep the framing and focus so well while skiing at a fair old lick. You must be great at arm wrestling too with all that weight on your forearm!

Nikon "G" adapters can adjust aperture on lenses without aperture rings. My novoflex nikon G adapter works great with my tokina 11-16 and tamron 17-50.

It's a hoodman 400 or something? I used to use it with my hvx, it fits great! and im glad you liked the video!

Evan !! I really like it! ..a specially perfect exposure and camera movement... !!! ...Once again I see: The best result depends not of the camera, but of the person who stay behind it! :)
