My 2008 Reel!!!

Wow. Very creative. I liked the old film effects in the beginning. You also edited it very tightly and I thought that was done well.

The music video clips themselves were very creative. You also showed a lot of variety in your work (or at least I felt so.)

The retro aesthetic is very cool. I am in. Really strong creative range.

For me, the song got repetitive and made the reel feel long. It would really work in a 30 second spot, but felt monotonous for nearly 3 min. In my opinion, a reel that long is best served by several music changes. It will help to keep the energy moving and propel the viewer through the piece.

Really really cool man loved the grindhouse effects. Hey that one shot with car have an awesome death proof feel to it. Was that shot on dvx or hvx? You are the music video man! One of my favs to date is that one where you built a city in AE and PS.

Great reel! It just so happens i've been searching everywhere for the font in your reel. I'm not sure if it's 'vagabond' or some other font. I downloaded vagabond and it looks similar, but much fatter.

Can you direct me to the font you used? It would be much appreciated.
 
which font are you referring to?

Which title card? if it's the one that says REEL 2008, I believe that was the simple ARIAL font.
 
Thanks, the whole point of the grindhouse type of theme/look has to do with the image in my new company Sleepless City Productions. The website will have that gritty look to it as well...so all those elements reinforce the look/feel i'm trying to go for with the company. Thanks for the comments!
