Just finished test shooting all day with the Af102 (PAL)
Had my usual AC and another cameraman colleague along for the ride all day as well.
Having a beer or two now... and considering all that I now have experienced with this camera in a limited time.
I really really really like it. (Very much)
We got some very ,very gratifying results and I am absolutely ecstatic about the combination of my "old school" Nikkor Lenses and this camera.
Note: To avoid complication and for a " CONTROL BASE" ..we only used default settings: F1 Scene : 1080p PH mode.
Images are super sharp and crisp. Colors and Luminance were accurate thru my entire "chain"
ie. Camera LCD, Panasonic 1700 HD field monitor, Premiere Monitors , Edit Reference monitor.
Did question " black" in the waveform monitor in PPRO CS5 - investigating this further!
Incident and spot meters confirmed ISO 400 as sensor base.
LCD is only just marginally green but fine. No problem at all.
Yep... we saw some visual NOISE in some circumstances and some areas. Mid /Dark to Dark grey.. Not black . No issue)
Color temp attenuation is a brilliant function.
Skin tone rendition ... superb.
Color Keying... excellent. Needs a little more work than 4:2:2 but no problem at all.
Cinematic feel ( "the panny look")... gorgeous.
Still considering other post stuff ... but my conclussion to the moment... I Love it and it can come and work with me.
