I've never shot with a stills camera before, so please point out any mistakes, likes or dislikes about this video. What ever you feel I could do to improve the images.

My background is in broadcast news as a video photographer in Miami, and in DC
{15 years}, so I feel like an intern again using this camera. I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it but I'm clearly still learning and coming up with a work follow that works for me. I'm still having some issues with getting the looks I really want and understanding ISO and aperture and how they work VS a traditional Video camera.

My friend is a stills photographer who is expanding his business so I offered to come in and do a promo / behind the scenes style video. He says he likes it very much but maybe he's trying not to hurt my ego, lol.

So i figured I'd post it in a place where people aren't afraid to tell you what they think.

I shot it with a Canon L-series 24-70 zoom, the interviews with a L series 70-200 zoom and a 15mm fish eye. I edited and color corrected in FCP and Color. I also used pluraleyes for the 1st time and after several issue with syncing the audio I finally found a work flow for future use.

Again this is not Emmy award wining stuff but anything you can point out to make the next project better please feel free to post it.

I liked it, the shots were great and the tempo was nice, but then it began to slow down a bit. I also thought there was a point where I got tired of hearing the camera shutter sound effects. I would suggest for the gallery portion of the movie that you pan over full screen images and incorporate a voiceover during that portion to engage the audience a little more. You see this done on a lot of history channel documentaries.

Overall good job, I can tell you put a lot of hard work and effort into this one.
