I received a DVD full of .mxf files.
I think they were created with an EVS unit....
I have Edius and it will not read them.
Any ideas?
 
Does the disk contain just the MXF files, or does it contain a CONTENTS folder and subfolder? If you have just a bunch of MXF files you can't use the P2 Select tool in Edius, but you can simply drag-and-drop the files from a Windows Explorer window into the Edius bin.

Also, is this Edius Broadcast, or Pro? You need Broadcast for P2/MXF support.
 
They shot with HVX200 and have the EVS system and I thought
Edius would read the files but it does not. I was on the EVS site
and it looks like it is a different flavor of .mxf. I will see
if they can export a QuickTime.
