FS5: "Mutts" ("clebs") on Criterion Channel, shot on the Fs5

If any of you have Criterion Channel I'd highly recommend the short film "Mutts," available as of December on their site: https://www.criterionchannel.com/mutts

From what the article suggests it would appear the vast majority of this was shot on the Fs5 (and it looks fantastic, in my view).

In a production still you can see an SDI from the Fs5 going into an external recorder, so my guess is they went with raw over SDI. Also the final film is 17:9 I believe, which also suggests it was the DCI image from the sensor rather than the 16:9 in-camera recording.

That said, I haven't ever been able to see a difference in well-exposed internal HD, UHD, and external 4K footage. Underexposed footage, yes, but not properly exposed (or overexposed). And given the film's setting they certainly had plenty of light to deal with for getting exposure
