More Af100 tests. I'm finally dialing a nice preset that works for me. Definitely staying away from the CINE-D preset... way too noisy. B-Press seems to be the one that's working for me.

Lovely video again Marlon. You really do live in a beautiful location. I wish there were things like this around my area to photograph.

I'm curious about the BPress gamma. I've always found, for narrative filmmaking with actors, etc, that it clips to black too quickly. What do you find?

Good stuff man...and yes..."chromahappy." :P But beautiful!

I did some more testing yesterday with B.Press and the reason I like using it is because it's the only gamma that gives the midtones a boost which is my typical CC action right away in post on what I shoot a lot of the time. The thing is it does press the blacks a little so I'm going out today to try B.Press plus a slight Master Ped lift of +3 so I can have the midtone shift and yet safe the blacks a little more. I'm also finding Norm2 to be far too blue for my taste and Norm1 a little too dull so I'm going to try Cine-Like today (noise I know) but drop the chroma -3 or -2 to compensate. Cine-Like pushes the reds a bit more which I want. I prefer a warmer image. If this doesn't work as well I'll try the Color Temp setting instead and put my color back to Norm2 or Norm1.

Nicely saturated, I guess? Some folks turn their chroma down in cam or post.
But yes, I like your colors, so I must be chromahappy, too

Oh, haha... well part of the test was to see how far I could push the codec in coloring :) Held up really nicely actually...

Marlon from one San Franciscan to another, I really appreciate what you are doing. I checked out a bunch of your work and you portray our area exactly the way that I see it in real life. Keep up the great work man!
