Musician Promo Shot on the hmc40

Seems alike a fun piece. Hope the process was also fun.
There's no lack of examples showing how good images from this camcorder looks in good light and the struggles it goes through in low light. It doesn't look like any additional lights were used when the gals were talking and just stage lights when he's playing in front of the mic. If you did use any gain can you share what the settings for those scenes were and also discuss a bit more about the process. I'm assuming the green hue on him during the live performance was from the stage. If not like to know what that's was about.
Thanks
Rick

Donated Time...

The live footage was the first time out with the hmc40. It arrived on my door step and i ran to an open mic to see how it worked. Gain @12db didn't bring lights because i wasn't planning on using the footage. I also played with the scene files a bit. And yes, there were some multi colored stage lights in there.

Z Man is great. his music is an acquired taste... he's a friend of a friend and i donated my services.

Well, you did a good job with the layout for the clip. Always good to donate services when learning. and I am doing the same myself. You can throw anything at the project that you want. Its invaluable and there are many lessons to be learned along the way.

Good work and a good idea of the 40 on "fast user" mode. :)

I use a bit of everything...

I use a bit of everything...

final cut for piecing stuff together, after effects for compositing and motion graphics. Colorista and Looks for color correction (mostly colorista) For 3d stuff i use Cinema 4d (the apollo logo at the end). I can upload my motion graphics reel if you would like to see it.
