Hi there! My name is Jillian Aversa, and I'm a New Age/World vocalist and songwriter. My musical style can be likened to artists such as Loreena McKennitt, Enya, and Sting; soaring vocals over a blend of electronic and world instruments.
To give you some background, I've released two albums, both of which have been very well-received, and have won several awards for Best New Age Artist. I also get regular radio airplay on stations like Sky.fm, XM/Sirius, Pandora and dozens of others. My next album is in progress and set to be released before the winter holidays.
My dream is to find a collaborator who can help conceptualize and produce a series of music videos to help promote my (our!) work. I'm very interested in unconventional styles and techniques, perhaps utilizing mixed media. To that end, I'm open to long-distance collaboration, and I have some video equipment of my own to record footage as necessary. Here are some examples of music videos that I find inspiring:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SMdpoCU7-Q (Pardon the long intro. I particularly like the section from 6:40 to 8:15.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUTFRAbTmjE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfVJ11GXzXQ&feature=related
And here are some of my already released songs that I'm considering for video productions. The first two are my top priorities at the moment, but as I finish music for my new album those will become #1:
Kindred
Walking In the Air
Avalon
Hajime
I'm hoping to work with a young professional that isn't afraid to experiment and try new ideas; I would rather not work with a large team, or a music video production company that perhaps has set notions of what a music video should be. I do have a limited budget for these productions, but want to make sure that whoever I work with is compensated fairly.
If you're interested in the prospect of a collaboration, please email me here:

In your message, I would love to see a portfolio (even if it doesn't have music videos), some general information about yourself, and what kind of fee you would expect for a project like this.
Thanks in advance!
