Musical Instruments...Let's see 'em

Seems like there's been a bit of talk about instruments. If you play, I'd be curious to see what you're using. Also curious what kind of music you create or any other info you want to offer up.

Currently I just jam with a buddy of mine who had written some good songs with a drum machine. Hardcore/heavy type stuff.

I'll go first:

Yes, you're absolutely right, the kit is set up backwards, I'm left handed. Pearl VSX with Zildjian A Customs (Med ride, 18" & 16" crashes) Basically a Sam Ash special, but I really like it. I put these Evans ebony heads on the toms. They're really low-end and punchy. Black hardware, black heads, black rings.....METAL!!!!

PS-Zaza, I know you play the female organ. Pics!

PPS-Was there ever a thread like this? Couldn't find one.

Ah, if only I could. But the keyboard is in one of the closets (I think), the 4 guitars are piled up in the corner of the room along with one of the violins, the clarinet and sax are out in the shed somewhere along with the MIDI drums box....

Sigh.

These are just drums... I thought you said MUSICAL instruments?
(drummers... the guys who hang around musicians)

Oh boy, here we go.....

EDIT: How many singers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

One to hold the bulb while the world revolves around him.

I ran into a drummer I used to gig with the other day... backed over him a few times & went on my way!

How do you tell if the stage is level?
The drummer is drooling from both sides of his mouth.

What's the last thing a drummer says in a band?
"Hey guys, why don't we try one of my songs?

How many drummers does it take to change a lightbulb?
Five: One to screw the bulb in, and four to talk about how much better
Neil Peart coulda done it.

Sweet!

Any links to hear that HUGE 26"?

Now we're getting somewhere! Lots of cool pics, and of course Zaza's contributions to the world of comedy.

+1 for wanting to hear that 26" kick.

I have about a dozen guitars but these 3 are my prize possessions as far as that goes.

They are EXACT replicas of the original's that were hand built from scratch (pieces of wood)
Im talking every little scratch is the same as the original, its kinda nuts.
They stay on the wall but the playablity and the sound from them surpass
any instrument ive ever owned. If I was to buy more guitars in the future I'll never
buy off the shelf again.

Eddie Van Halen - Frankenstein guitar
Eric Clapton - Blackie guitar
Eddie Van Halen - 5150 guitar

cost= dont ask heh.
