So this is my first post with any of my work. I´ve been using my dvx for a year now, but this is my first music video and I wish to show it to you all.

This video was made by three people (I directed, shot and edited it). We had no budget, and ended up spending about 2000NOK (about 300$). We did it for the experience and for our reel. I hope you´ll see it and any comments or questions will be appreciated.

Håper jeg hjelper til med å backe opp det norske crewet her på dvxuser, miniman og smettli dere bidrar sterkt og jeg vet det er flere. Hurra.

LOVE IT.

How did you do it? the opening sequence, that is. Excellent editing, and great job for any music vid, let alone your first.

Hi! Man I´m glad to get that as a first reply, thanks!

The opening sequence is stop motion animation capture with Adobe Premiere, shot with the dvx. I thought of using a digital SLR or something, but I didn´t get my hands on some free software for it in time so I used the dvx. The effect and quality ended up quite nice anyways.

I agree with rcbrown! Great intro, love the choppy edit and the cigarette into lipstick! This video rocked, it was your first? Wow. It might be just me, but this gave me a chris cunningham feel. Which is a big complement in my book. If I had to pick something for constructive criticism....uh... perhaps light the guy in the begining a little better, I thought he was to evenly lit and came across a little flat. Perhaps a darker contrast lighting? But then the rest of the entire video was well lit in my opinion. Like I said, I had to look for something to complain about. Great stuff :)

this was a really great video, major props for the cigg to lipstick edit.... nice intro....

Wow, thanks guys! I'm really glad you all liked it! We will try and get this video on tv here in Norway soon. There's this weekly show that gives unsigned bands a chance to air their music and videos.

Anyway, thanks.

Oh, about the compression... I used this software called Cleaner 5.1 (it's an old edition i think), I didn't get too much time to test out different settings, but it ended up quite nice I think. If you want to know the excact settings PM me and i could most likely find it out.

Hey Terry,
Video was pretty damn original man. Great job. How did you do the part where the footage speeds up (where the guys are on the streets standing by the fire, dancing, and riding the motorcycle?)

Thanks, Slimothy! I didn't do anything special, had no time or software for digital ramping. So I simply set a higher speed on specific parts of the clip. I "covered up" the cuts with those flashing transitions to make it look more smooth.
