I shoot Pirates.
Hello all,

I just shot some exterior images for a music video i am doing. I thought i would post some stills here for people to check out. The stuff i'm posting is just bits from the opening of the video we shot today. guy walking to a place...i probably wont be using most of the images we shot, cause i only need enough to cover about 15 seconds, just enough time for the guy to get into the building he is headed to. We wont be getting into the meat of the video until august 14th, we do a little bit this coming weekend as well. I cant wait, i'm kinda nervous, but very excited, so much work has to be done still for prep! hmm...oh, i shot it with the anamorphic, which, honestly, im not sure i want to deal with when we get to the hard stuff. its such a pain in the ass to work with! i may just switch to the .6 wideangle...anyway...here the link. oh, one last thing, the color correct is temp...

Nice comps Rich. Im also digging the 'champagne' kind of coloring going on here. Keep us posted.

Jarred! what avout a "Treatment section" ie like this great work and sharing the how to get the best result?

Rich, these look phenomenal! I am assuming you did some post color correction? What do you cut on? How did you get the fisheye effect (with lens or in post?) THe depth of field on the step was my favorite. Cant wait to see the finished product.

darkone, yeah, did some color correct in after effects. i havnt started an edit yet, but i will probly do it on premiere pro. the fisheye thing is what comes out of the camera with the anamorphic adaptor at its widest. for some shots its cool. for others i have been messin with optical compensation in AE to get the distortion out. which works great, nice to have the extra rez with ana for all that pixel interpolation.

we shot some more today which went pretty well, even a few vfx shots. fun stuff!

hey rich, glad to see you doing more work! i cant see what you come up with, especially the vfx stuff!

Thanks young, i will let you know when i got an edit to look at.

Ok, got a few more pics, (no vfx ones young) after these i wont post any more until the video is closer to finished. again, some rough image tweaking in ae...just wanted to get some images to show the band.

is it possible to fix/adjust those curves caused by the ana lens? Like the shelves in pic three, or the wall with the paneling in pic 7?

Really nice shots btw!

Nice grabs. You may want to adjust the black levels in the first set, it seems like they could be a little richer for a slight adjustment.

Hey, that guy with the sunglasses kinda looks like me when I had my hair that long   8)

yo, thanks guys. some shots will have the distortion taken out, others will not.

no bg in photography young. just started messin with video last year, and i just got into still photography earlier this year. fun stuff! i do previsualization for a living however, so that definitly has helped me understand composition and things i like and dont like...

hey rich did u shoot in 24p advance or normal settings and what gamma seting use ???? oh yea did u need to do much color correction rich ?? thanx and y info u can give me is much appreciated , i LOVED the pic by the way ;D ;D
