Music Video shot on DVX

We shot it on the 100A and finished in Final Cut. It's a large Quicktime file.

Also, "The Baby Shower" short was shot with two 100s.

Let me know what you think.

Did you guys build that set? What kind of lighting did you use? Pars?

Looks really great.

dude, CRUSH your blacks on that vid for a SICK look..i'ts rocken and in need of some really sick color work. do it.

alright, this may be a dumb question but I'm new to the dvx(plan to get one soon) and wondering what frame you typically shoot music video's at? 30p?

love the lighting work and how many dvx100a's did you use?

This is a really good video. I did notice something kind of funny. If you stop at 2:15 in the video you can see the grip moving the light.

Grips need love too

Grips need love too

That was part of the plan. Actually, we even shot inserts of them but that was too much ultimately and I practically abandoned that aspect of the vid. A glimpse or two remains, but he's a good friend and it cracks me up to see him in there.

I wanted to keep it live and raw. That's why I stuck with just performance. We shot two other b roll set ups but I felt that it took away from the band's energy.

Thanks for checking out the vid.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

We shot it at 24p and with our no budget opted for CD boombox playback versus a smart slate and DAT sound package. I don't reccommend that route as synching can be a beeyotch, but it's totally doable.

And we only used one DVX and shot it all in about 8 hours.
