MUSIC VIDEO : Scars of Desire

pretty good, one criticism i can offer is that you might want to redo the fades to white in the middle of the video, they come off looking kind of cheap.
 
Hey .. yeah, very emo.

Color correction was pretty simple. Used 3-way in FCP, a little Effects Essentials (camera flash) and a slight blur effect from Joe's filters. But about 98% of it was FCP CC (crush blacks, light desaturation, pop the mids a bit, etc.).

Would still welcome feedback ... first viewing with band this Friday...hard to be objective after editing so much.

First off, thats some good editing.
But still, I'm not a fan at all of that kind of music, maybe it would keep me more interested if all these videos didnt look the same.
It's always the band at high shutter speed, and a girl, and a little running around.
Maybe for the next one it would be good to see something else, something a little more original, a new concept for these kind of videos, something more conceptualized.
Also the CC still looks too much like video to me, it needs some love, a little more black crushin', and a little tinting maybe (green preferably), going for a 'skip bleach' look, would probably help it.
That's my opinion. ;)
 
So I tweeked the vid a bit more. I added some yellow hues and crushed the blacks even more ... I think it brings it to a new level ...

The flashback sequence ... any comments? I think it looks good (could have used a varicam and had sweet slo-mo, but not in the budget).
