Shot this in NYC, cool location under cool bridge. All performance right now ... might include some bugs ... similar to the intro. (oh, and it looks like there's quite a bit of red hue being picked up during compression ... need to pull that out).

LESS RED hue (just turned down the saturation 25% for the web version):

What d'ya think?

Ingredients:
-DVX100
-Crane
-Couple lights (just to pop a bit)
-Tripod
-Edit/CC = FCP4.5
-Light use of Joe's Filters (blur)

Directions:
Turn camera settings to kick ass, then rock your face off.

Is that a Celine Dion song there covering?

Seriously, I like a lot of the shots, but it begins to feel repetitive. I wish there was a bit of a story or some diversity to it.

Also, the blur doesn't work at all, it just ends up looking like focus problems.

Wow ... you can already see the video? I haven't even finished ftp-ing it to my server!!!

Can you be more specific re: the blur? I used it very sparringly and it only hints at the outter edges...

The red is killin me... using h.264 compression now ... seriously rocks the quality.

Those guys are talented. And by talented, I mean.... the musicians.

The screaming guy was.... screaming a lot.

Did you use ATHF sound bytes in it?

THE SONG NEVER KEEPS ONE GENRE. WHAT A PIGEONHOLING MUSIC VIDEO!

Videography was fine, but i agree, was repetitive... story is desired after all.

Toast, its a G.R.E.A.T. performance vid man, you nailed it, tight, crisp. The blurs nice. Dont touch it!!! Your getting good bro. The band KFA. They will be more than pleased...
Keep up the good work...

I liked it alot...this type of "performance" video is the stuff I like to do as well. I thought everything was right on. I posted a vid a few days ago, same type of feel. Looking forward to more in the future and thanks for sharing!
....D....

Hey thanks guys ... still have some tweaking and need to decide if I should add some bug imagery, but I think it's pretty much there.

Giraffe -- yeah, they are talented. They do a lot of mixed time (some 5, 6, and 7s ... pretty clever) and a lot of modal mixes (Phrygian, I think).

JB/DL -- Word. Glad you're diggin it. KL .. where is your vid .. .would def be down to check it out too.

BTW -- Anyone else using H.264 compression? Seriosuly rocks...I don't think I'll touch Compressor or Cleaner again.

yeah man everything looks great. if anything I would just add a very very small bit of brightness and contrast, like bearly a little bit just to spice it up a lil bit but the movements of the camera were great. Like alot of the work with the crane.

I thought the blur was really distracting. Not AS distracting as the music, but pretty distracting. It did hold my interest the whole time, but mostly because I couldn't believe my ears.
