MUSIC VIDEO: Lights Resolve /// With The Pieces

Man, must video is a talent i've never explored and fear greatly. Your video is just another example of why i am scared to try it. So damn creative.

It was transcoded to ProRes422(HQ) where it was edited and graded. The light box was an idea/theory I came up with, that if you fill a box enough with haze/fog anything you project onto it would collect on the flat surface of the glass. So we shot all of the projection footage (which we shot entirely sideways fot the box, see attached picture) thinking that the entire video narrative/performance would be happening simultaneously. But unfortunately, on set we found my theory was wrong. You could barely see the projections on the glass with all of the lights, so we ended up having to shoot the box straight on so we could composite the image onto the box in the shots you see in the video. We then used the projectors to push as much of the image/colorful lights onto the performers as possible to sell the intensity.
