Music Video - HVX200

Hey Jonny,

I think the concept was a little straight forward/cliche but I still think it was well done. Concept-wise it was much better than a lot of low budget music videos I've worked on.

- I really liked the shot choices, for the most part. You pretty effeciently told the story and I was pretty interested.

- The transition where she walks into the camera needs to cut earlier b/c I can see her stop. I thought was awkward.

- If you had no budget I can understand where you are coming from. But overall the lighting wasn't very flattering. I think you get away with a certain amount of natural light but in HD you can really tell when a scene is not lit correctly.

For the dancing footage, I'm a breakdancer, I think that turning up the shutter angle would help. Also working at a longer focal length makes things much more portrait-like which would help for that scene.

- For club/school gym scene you got a lot extras, I'm impressed. We have a hard time getting more than 20 people to come out for free.

I think that this video with a budget and DP would be MTV ready.
