Music Video - HMC + Redrock Micro

Thank you!

Any criticism or suggestions i can use to make it better on my next shoot? I know it isn't perfect since I'm still learning.

i posted a comment on the actual video...i basically said it was incredible! i have a few questions if you dont mind:

how did you sync the music? did you just do multiple takes and align the video with the song? ive always wanted to do a music video for a friend, but i dont want to mess it up. any info on how you did this would be great. thanks a lot and keep up the great work.

Thanks for the compliments man, I appreciate it.

As for the shoot. I had a simple storyboard of what type of shots I wanted and went from there. They played about 30+ times all the way through.

I think having them play all the way through makes it extremely easier to sync up while editing. What I did for each clip is cut the video to the beginning and end of the song making sure it was in sync then when i placed it on the final sequence it lined up. It can be tedious and overwhelming having so many tracks at times but once you get familiar with each track it becomes easier.

Does that make sense?

haha, yeah, it's better to have extra footage so when you come to a point in the edit where you need something to fill in, it comes in handy rather than not having enough. Atleast, I have found it nice :)

Looked them up in iTunes. They really do remind me of Jimmy Eat World and I couldn't help but purchase "War". Great video, what's the plans for it and why did it take so long to get around to a music video when the album dropped in '07?

I'm not really sure where to go with it. Any ideas for places to post it? I'm not sure if it's even good enough for a TV network.

I made their first video about a year ago and I recently just got the HMC along with the Redrock so we made another video. Glad you like their music!

Thanks green thumb, appreciate it :)

Nice Video! I'd like to get a Red Rock Micro setup for my HMC150 also. Can you list what I would need to buy from Red Rock to achieve that film look. I already have a bunch of EOS lenses. - Thanks
