here is my last work, a video clip from a french metal band: Noïsy

Everything shooted with stock Dvx. I used a glidecam 2000, a crane bought from ebay and DIY dolly track. I worked with a great light guy who made really great lights!

pros:
REALLy good lighting and set design.
shots utilizing the crane, glidecam and dolly were really good.
intro shots are just sick!!

cons:
I really think this video suffers in the edit. everything else is wicked and then it falls short on the edit. The edit does not match the intensity of the song. U have hardcore jarring beats and lyrics but smooth shots. this video also suffers from being 2 wide. most of the shots are wide and mediums..nothing is wrong with these shots...but where are the close ups of the instruments during the really sick musical portions of the video example at 1.23, some close ups of the drumming/drums/cymbals that we are hearing...i'm just not connecting with the music. that wud have added some much needed intensity. a bit of handheld work would have been helpful also.

If u had the time i'd redit this to reflect the feel of the song more. look on the bright side...u can have 2 versions :)

the video has a really good look to it though...cudus to the team...and especially the lighting person.
