Music video for Fairgreen

Charlie Anderson

Not so clever
$0 for budget, gave this video out for free to generate buzz about us and to test out the new zeiss lenses we got.

Shot all performance with a HVX, M2, and Zeiss lenses. Shot the story with the M2 and Letus Extreme (see if you can tell what's M2 and what's Letus) with Zeiss lenses.

We didn't know the location, the story, or even what we were shotting until we showed up on set that day. This is one of the videos I was talking about in the thread for LoveFest (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=124918)

Hope you enjoy! It's a simple concept but still pretty decent I think for what we were given :)

looks good. a few times it looked like either the compression was bad or the glass wasn't spinning inside of your 35 adapter

for having no budget though its a solid video. i would have loved to see a little more lighting to key in on their faces in the conceptual footage.

good vid though - really like the music

Thanks man I appreciate the feedback. What parts did you happen to suspect bad compression or a nonspinning GG?

I would have liked to get more lighting as well but we ended up shooting all the story after we just shot another music video from 9am to 7pm and had to drive an hour away to setup the story stuff which took us another 4 hours to shoot. It was a valuable learning experience but not one I would repeat again anytime soon :)

Hey Charlie,
Neat stuff! My guess is the bedroom stuff is letus extreme, the girl against the white wall is redrock? I couldn't decide on the band. There was a shot of the drummer spinning his sticks that looked like letus grain structure :) I think on the second medium shot of the girl you can see the glass on her arm, or the compression seems to be mimicking it. I only noticed it because i was really watching for it though. Cool video!

There's only 1 shot in the bedroom with the LEX, and that's the 2nd opening one with the close up of the girl (and anytime that reoccurs). All of the performance and the small room stuff is M2 :)

Glad you liked! We have another video premiering on March 7th

Huzzah! This video lead the way for us to talk to a band on Goatee Records, the band is on tour now with Fairgreen and we'll be talking with them once they finish up. I'm pretty stocked about this :)
