hey epp, I've always wondered for coverage on music videos... how many times do you shoot the band from different angles? and do they play the whole song each angle?

btw, it looks great.. hope to see the finished version

Seems like I do it different every time.

This time...we set up the dolly and jib and proceeded to get a lot of shots with them first. Then I got handheld shots for each individual member and let them play the song all the way through twice. Sometimes we shoot with 2 camera's for the handheld shots, but not this instance.

For this particular video we have a storyline that will be put in later (haven't shot it yet) to add with this video. We also have an outside location for the second verse that looks unbelievable! Can't wait to get this one finished.

Thats a good looking piece of work so far; nice job. I like your filler cards (I actually could envision the concept). ONly part I didnt dig was when the dude looked into the camera and said 'open up my eyes' and did that little smug "mm hmmm" type look.

Thats the only part I didnt like; everything is looking damn good.


(Can I say Damn Good when referring to a Christian Rock Band?)

Hey epp looks great so far. There are a few peeps here from Nashville (myself included).
My video partner and I were filming a music video for another band here called Spout. We used some of the similar angles that you have in the video, so Its nice to see =).
Needless to say weve scrapped our vid (difference in views; we saw that it was good to be on time, and the band thought it was ok to be 1, then 2, then 4hrs late.) Ill try to post some unfinished one day, but hey keep up the good work.

Do you do freelance work out of Nashville or are you working for a production company? Just wondering...maybe we can network, I'm here in KY, but have made several connections in Nashville and looks like I could get a lot of work in the future. It would be nice to know some other people I can work with whenever I come down!
