Music Video "enjoy the metal"

Me being an intermediate (Well, used too) guitar player and able to actually carry a simple 4/4 beat on the drums l....

Why is everyone on the drummers jock ? He isnt doing anything original that 4 million other drummers can't already do. Triplet triplet triplet crash triplet triplet crash ...

Mettallica invented this 20 years ago. I can name a ton of drummers that can own this dude:

Tommy Lee
Alex Van Halen
Neal Peart
Lars Ulrich
Mick Fleetwood

One day this guy will learn it ain't about how hard and fast you play; but about how you play it. But isn't this always the case with the baby rattlesnakes?


This music is ****. I'd rather listen to RAP or Country and this coming from a major fan of Metal and Punk.

Sweet animal pic. Animal did honestly imspire me to take up the drums.. but I'm friggin terrible. But it's good to be able to clear a room. I ended many a party with an impromptu drum session.. pot banging debacle in college. Man.. I do suck at drumming.. but it's not about talent. It was about drinking excessively with ya mates and having a good time beating something... I love playing, but sucking is in my blood.


I'd definitely nominate Ginger baker... Keith Moon (animal's inspiration)... Alex Van Halen live in concert in 1985 still remains one of the coolest things I've ever seen live...

Did we forget Neil Pert from Rush? Also what about the drummer from the Police, who tored with oysterhead... Really good stuff there as well.


I'd also say that Dave Grohl back in Nirvana days was pretty damn awesome too... Pure sweat and agression..
 
VERY TRUE JOHN... There's rumblings of a possible reunion tour. A good friend of mine in the biz is a tour manager for a lot of old 70's bands and Jazz bands and has heard of something cooking. NOW, that's a show I'd pay 300 bucks to see, fo sho'.
Kind of like when i was in London and got to catch one of the 2 shows that Velvet Underground did in 93. Worth whatever they wanted...


This is also the same guy who happened to be in a bar in Philly in the late 70's and got to watch the Police's 3rd or 4th US gig and it was for like 100 people and then got to get drunk with them and all that... Man, that would have been something.

jesus guys... It's all about Ian Paice from Deep Purple... You've heard "Burn" haven't you? It's one of the most frequently covered track I know in the metal world. Paice is god. Besides, I think the drumming here sounded very much like midi drums... After all, we never see him play the stuff in the video... If this is 100% real, it's actually the most hardcore drumming I've ever heard.... Which is quite amazing....

It's not fast enough. And I can still almost understand a few of the sounds the guy with the mic is making. They need to work on it.
 
ok, coming from a drummer I can honestly say that stewart copeland, neil peart, keith moon, etc are ****ing amazing and yes, they are the **** of all ****

but you have to respect the speed and technical precision of the red chords drummer..... those gravity blasts (ie, one handed snare rolls) those intricate fills..... dude, that takes some skill

so just because it isnt your cup of tea because you dont like fast, rugged guitar and screamed vocals, at least respect the talent of playing that music

that is all
 
Coming from a multi instrumentalist, singer and songwriter, I do respect their playing ability, just not their song. A player's technical prowess on their instrument doesn't make a song any good.

And let's be clear, you don't know what my cup of tea is or what I like. You only know I won't be humming this tonight (if that's even possible).

I'm very familiar with Meshuggah and the like, this is nothing new.
 
those drums are real, definetly not midi. Technically these guys are pretty solid musicians, but I don't have the taste for their music. the boston symphony is pretty solid too and I'm not a big fan of them either. I respect them both. To each their own.
 
I think allot of people would pay to see the police.

Neil Peart has always been called the drummers drummer but that is beacuse he is poo pooing amazing
