Music Video (Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver)

Ha! I Loved It... Is That The Dvx? I Like The Colors And Composition And Definately The Music.

Good Job.
:)

Looked great. you have a great eye for compostion. How did you get the camera do move so smoothly? Keep up the good work and keep posting so I can see it.

very nice, looks like you have a crane or some stabilizers (do tell)
I liked the interpretation of the song's lyrics with the kids

Great Job, Id just keep on tweaking the transistions between split screen shots (performance) and the full frame stuff(story). I think it when there is a simple fade where a full screen shot fades over the boarders that is bothering me. Since your obviously quite good with controlling the splits, why not have them come from offcscreen or open close into nothing. I hope I'm being clear- it really is sharp looking video and has a good concept.

epp - Really nice video. It's beautiful, fun, and entertaining. Technically; The first crane shot was not framed right. Way too much headroom near the end. (Also, the next crane shot has too much headroom as well.) About 30 seconds in there's some shots of the girl chewing gum. One shot (two shots after the close-up of the boys hand giving her some more gum) looks like it hasn't been color corrected (the colors look muted on a few of those shots). I know this is a rough cut so maybe you're not finished with color correcting yet. There's some great stuff in this video. Really nice. Enjoyed it a lot.

Good luck!

Hahaha! I liked it, especially when the woman holds out her hand with the giant ring on it, and the guy is following and falls over. Very comic. I liked the song too. Nice work!

Awesome job everything looked great and it wasnt an emo-core band!!!! i like the shot with the band down in the hole :)

Great Job Eppdidit. I keep forgetting that you live near Nash-Vegas. Oddly enough Jamie use to play with my step-dad in a band. Actually he was playing with them when he got the call from Doyle. Seems like there doing good.

Keep up the good work!!!

Nash-Vegas! The town of dreams and skeems...This town has been good to me!
"PYWL" PM me and let me know what ya do...maybe we can use each others services in the future. I have several projects coming up down your way!!!

did you say if this was filmed with the DVX?

nice work, the only "effect" i didnt like was the gradient blue sky above the band a couple of the end shots, and like PK that one shot stood out as not being cc'd.

nice work though, it held my attention even though the music isnt my style and that says a lot right there...

Yes Coffee you can do that in FCP. Stack as many scenes on the timeline then in the motion tab you can control size aspect ratio distort etc. set the keyframes for the animation of the boxes.

HAHA!! Great job man. As you well know the best thing a video director can do for his or her clients is capture the essence of both their personalities and music in the video and you did it wonderfully. Just enough to, not cheesy or overdone. Very nice work!

ahhh, thanks man.... I'll be busy tonight trying that out!

Very nice work! Not my style of music, but the video really fit the song well.

What are the plans for the video? Is the band doing a DVD or something?

The only thing bothering me was the length of some of the boxes, particularly the ones that faded to white...as stated earlier, maybe some motion would help them.

I kindof liked the blue sky effect...I thought it fit the song well.

Great job!!
