This video was shot in 60i with 2 DVX cameras. We shot in 60i because we thought we'd be mixing footage from another 60i camera, which we wound up not doing.

It was shot at a live show, so there wasn't much control over the environment, but i think it captures their live energy pretty well. I spend most of this show in the middle of a mosh pit trying to keep the camera held above my head, that's always fun.

/thinks i need to look in to some camera insurance

Pretty cool. It's exactly what you said it was. Where in Baltimore was that show?

Not bad. I would recommend maybe fade in with some crowd noise at the beginning to give it more of a live feel. It sort of felt like they were just playing to the CD. I thought the shots from the pit were cool but after a while they got a little old seeing people in front of the camera jumping up and down. Maybe next time doing 1/4 mosh and then try to get above the crowd so the moshers can be seen but it won't take up the whole screen. Does that make sense. Good job though.

The video is alright, but the band is pretty darn good!

Yeah, its a shame you couldn't have pre-arranged a 3- or 4-camera shoot where you have a camera roaming on stage, one in the audience, and a fixed one at about midrange on a ladder or table or platform or something. Also, a great 'go-to' camera is a cheap fixed one trained on the drummer.

The band is worthy.

We're planning the next one right now, which will be shot totally in 24P. And we have lots of $$$ to work with for this one (finally). And it's not being shot at a live show, so we'll have control over everything and more time to work with.
