Music Video alot of green screen, DVX, VEGAS, AFTER EFFECTS,

It's interesting with all the layers.. I think it's almost overly done with the cartoon feel. It looks good, just a lot of it. I think it would have been nice to have some street cruising scenes during all the car parts, but clearly would take more time and effort then doing it within the cartoon. It's amusing because they're boasting about money and chicks but they're rapping around cartoon images. It's like they're just dreaming about it in a way. The footage does look good though, good green screening. It's a funny video, it's like watching the ghetto muppets. That's some good ass shaking in there.

Yea, there was an extremly limited budget and its amazing we were able to green screen it considering the size of the apartment we used. Your right that it could use some actual driving and other scenes.

This is a stuipid question probably because I don't have after effects yet but I'm getting it. But how did you animate the background in there? Can you give me a quick technical overview?

Layers: The background is much longer than the frame and pans using keyframes. The forground basically stays in the same spot.

LOL -- Is "Booz Blvd." The Yankee Staduim stop on the 6 train? I saw that shot and had a sudden warm feeling pass over my body.

Well done. Looks like you really spent a lot of time on this. great edits/green screen etc.

Only negative = where was makeup when those cabooses were flying...could have used some touching up?

Yea, that's the stop. Yea it took a while to do. Its a lot of layers and the editing was basically done in afx and only did selects of video in vegas. Make up would have been good.

I thought this video looked and felt very amateur. the shooting was fine just the AF were alittle over played. I do have to commend you on Keying out the green screen. but everything else was fairly poor as of AF. I thought that the content was horrible but i understand it was for a client and that is what they may have wanted. alot of the stuff you did in this video could have been done Via FCP motion. so personally it wasn't my favorite but Keying was great.

I don't think FCP could handle the rendering and seeing results as you do them. To do this in FCP would be not fun at all.

OT: Wow, that video kinda bugs me. Not because of the visuals or the AE or because it's a booty video but because of who is doing the booty video. Man, these guys used some the best rappers back in the 90s. I guess they are doing it for mass appeal.

I miss the old BuckShot (Black Moon) and old Tek and Steele (Smif N Wessun).
