Music Video $5000

[jeans]

I entered a 1 min music video into the Soulja Boy "Crank That" lip sync battle. Not at all my kind of music, but hopefully it's funny. It's in the running now for $5000. A link and screen caps are below. Unfortunately the website converts the video very poorly. They tell you to upload a 320x240 movie no larger than 3mb but still compress it further and they reduced my video down from 24fps to 15fps. If I knew they were going to do that I'd have shot in 30p, had smoother motion and devoted more bits to each frame withinin the 3mb limit. Anyway check it out and vote if you like. Total views counts for 25% of the final vote. Thanks.

my favorite one is the headphone grab

Same here, I like the headphones grab. Could be a sweet still photo/cover art concept

It looks great and its funny. Did you shoot it with a DVX 100b ?
How did you make it look like you were floating ?

[Robbie Comeau]

Its stop motion brotha. He jumps, and he gets his picture taken. Then he moves forward a bit, jumps, and gets his picture taken. The picture is taken when he is in mid air.

Yes it was on a DVX100B stock lens. As for the floating, yes, stopmotion for the jerky parts. There are also parts where Lucas the guy in the video is on a swing set and I just painted out the chains and seat. It was somewhat a waisted effort because what I ended up using of it was so short. Also due to the compression, resolution, and frame rate, a lot of people don't even notice an effect is happening. Oh well.
As for the rating, that has little to no baring on the final decision. Thanks for watching it.

No kidding!

It's miles above the rest.

You'd better win.
