Multiple Modes Per Card: Can that create problems?

Finally beginning experiments with HMC40. Have shot short clips of scenery (camera steady, camera panning slow and fast, etc) in various modes (1080i/30; 1080p/30; 1080p/24 and 720p/60) on one card and viewed on tv (no editing yet) with no problems.

I don't intend to save these clips, but next week I am going to some vintage sports car races where I will continue experiments with various modes. These will be longer clips and I will want to save (eventually edit) some of the clips. Will putting several different modes on one card create problems at some stage (corrupt card, editing problems ) or should I switch out cards to shoot different modes to avoid problems?

I have read a lot about pros and cons of various modes in various situations (scenery vs fast action, etc), but I am not experienced nor probably as discerning as many so at this point just looking for big easily discerned differences among modes--what I actually see. Dennis
