multiple camera setup

Is there a tutorial on how to set up a two/three camera shoot? I have a dvx myself, and I'm thinking about renting another one(maybe two) for a shoot. But I have no idea how to synch up multiple cams and remote control them. Can anyone help? There's gotta be a good post or an article about it somewhere on this forum. Thanks guys!

Live switch or Iso (record ot tpae and edit together later)?

What's the subject and venu? What are you editing with?

These will all have an effect on what you are dooing.

Use the remote control to set the TC on both cameras at once... assuming you don't have 100B's where you can jam the TC.
If you are using PremierePro it will be worth it for you to upgrade to v.2.0 just to use the "MultiCam" feature on the edit.

I'll record on individual tape in each camera, and edit it together later. It's a short film project. The reason for using multiple camera is that the talents are not actual actors. So their performance on each take won't be that consistant. With a couple of cameras I can record as much footage as possible from different angle or shot sizes when there's only one take turned out to be perfect. I'll be editing it with FCP. I'm open for suggestions.

I'm using 100a camera. What do you mean by "use rc to set the TC" exactly? How would two cameras "listen" to one remote?

A remote control "broadcasts" it's comands - it doens't care what (if any) device is litening.
A camera just listens for a remote control signal, it doesn't care where it come from.

If you place your cameras side by side and use the remote in front of the group it will affect all cameras. Just use the remote to set teh TC and it will be the same and relativly in sync with them all.

It also works with cameras that dont' have settable TC, just put in the tapes and use one remote to start them all on cue.
I'v even edited like this. 4 tapes in 4 decks. line them all up on a comon point (like a slate) then hit the play on the remote to roll them all for on the fly switching.
