Multilclip Into Multiclip?

Hey all.

I have a project where several hours of footage was shot with two EX-3's. The crew thought the cameras' timecodes were synced, but they weren't, and I'm in a pickle.

Since there were no slates used, I selected all the footage and used "Make Multiclip Sequence" to at least get them all in shooting order with a general idea of timing. That left me with two Multiclip Sequences; one for each camera. I then copy/pasted camera B's footage onto the timeline with camera A's footage and began to sync them up as best I could using audio cues and door slams for reference.

Now the footage is all in sync, but there's just one problem. The producer for the project is demanding to be able to see each shot as a Multiclip, so that he can see both angles playing simultaneously. Sadly, I can't find a way to select two Multiclips on the timeline and use the "Make Multiclip" command. Going back to the original clips and making Multiclips one at a time (without any reference this time) would take weeks and I'm on a deadline.

Is there some workaround that I'm missing, or am I just boned?

Is the producer there watching with you? What I mean is, can he see the viewer? If so, set it to "Open" and it'll show both. If NOT and you have to burn a video to send to him, why not just put the footage side by side at 50%?

He will be in the room with me, but setting the Viewer to Open doesn't work because when I made the first Multiclip Sequences, the footage I made them with was only from one angle, and because the timecodes weren't synced, all it did was put the clips in order with gaps between where the cameramen rolled. So putting the Viewer in Open still only shows me whatever clip the playhead is on (as a Multiclip, but with only one angle), even if the playhead is sitting on two tracks of video.

You need to delete your video render files (Tools>Render Manager>Then check the "Remove" on that project / sequence). Then when you set it to open, it should work right (if I'm reading this correctly). For some reason when it renders, it reads only that shot in your viewer from that point on. It's probably something it's supposed to do, but it's a real pain sometimes.

No dice, sir. Still just seeing the one angle.
