Multicam setup - use Avid as live switcher

This is a theoretical question for the NLE gurus...

We have a 3 camera setting running all HVX200s

Our NLE is a MacPro running Avid Liquid Chrome through a Aja Kona card

Is there any way I can use the MacPro NLE/Avid/Kona setup as
-a HD switcher for a live event
-record each camera's output straight to hard disk
-and send the switched output to a projector ?

I don't think this can be done, this is possible with HDMI and the Intensity card, But HVXs dont have HDMI
