Thought I would move this into a proper board thread. sorry about the other one and if the mods can delete it for me I would appreciate that..

Ok everyone.. I am back at it.. We have started working on the film Muddy Water again ...
The entire script has taken a make-over. and is being shot in the horror genre...
The little girl Lacy was abused when she was young and created Rea as her protector... The film follows Rea as she is coming home..
Like I've stated in other posts we are working on a low to no budget and working with what we have.. Shooting on a DVX100a.. I have a Redrock M2.. but not sure if I'll be using that. Seems that I can get a much cleaner and better picture without it. For the shots that I need shallow DOF. I will either xzoom in or use my Canon T3..
Here are a few screen grabs of some footage shot yesterday. the cemetery one is one that will appear in her night terrors.... the others I call the act "Coming Home"...
I would love any and all comments from you guys here.. I have been reading and learning from most of you for a long time and I value all of your input...

the website is still http://www.muddywatermovie.com I know the site doesnt do alot of justice for a film website. but for now it's a place for information ... As I go I hope to be able to get someone to work with us to create a "Real" site...

I did a fast colorgrade on the grabs jsut to see what could be done with what I had so far

Thanks
Terry

Hey everyone.. I was sitting here pounding my head revising the script "again".. and thought I would give you all some history on what started this whole project, where is has been and where I hope to go..

I will turn 42 next week. damn... ok anyway... I have been a computer repair guy, worked for myself for years as well as Comcast.
I have been in the computer field for some 20 years. but my passion has always been video of any kind. I sort of started off when one of our local radio stations were going to cut one of the channels that they had, and I was approached by city members, council, ect. if there was anything that I could do to help, so... I jumped in head first and started a small town radio station for them. it grew more online than anything due to the fact that I could only Part15 station. wont get you very far.. had small transmitters all over the town. So... I added in the mix of video... then remote video. I was at that time broadcasting local council, school board, town events all live to everyone.. It somehow jsut didn't seem to hold my interest as I was now broadcasting local sports games for the schools live...

2 years ago, I started losing control in my left arm and within a few weeks no feeling at all. after seeing a million doctors with a million differant reasons. One doctor finally found that htere was nerve damage in my neck and if not fixed soon I would never have use of my arm. sooooo.. yeap had the surgery.. was layed up for months... during that time. I began what I have ALWAYS had wanted to do but thought I never could well until I found dvxuser.com. I have seen so many of your struggles that it gave me the confidence to do what I wanted. So in 6 months I wrote my first script. Muddy Water.

as time went on. I wanted to do more than just write it. I wanted to learn to produce, direct,ect... so I began getting together a crew of people that I knew I could trust more than anything. and started holding auditions...had a really good response as nothing like this has ever been done around here... So with thinking that I found the right cast. We needed money. and well with me still out of work and still not to my full capacity, I knew MY money wasnt going to cut it. So we went out and bartered with a few businesses for spots in the film.. for example. one local ambulance comany gave us funds to be the sole emergency crew within the film.. and another place is a club that we are shooting in.

Things are looking up at this point,.......we thought.. LOL
Two of the leads that we cast turned out to be we.. less desireable and lets say found out they were addicted to more than film making.. to all of the footage taht we had shot last year was useless...

over the winter we have had most of our files, equipment, ect stored in our building that we really only use for storage now...
at 2am one morning the local police come knocking to tell me that a drunk had driven THROUGH my building.. WOW... i couldnt believe it when I saw it.. he didnt get hurt thank god.. but well the building had to be torn down..

So where are we now?

I beleive we are better than ever. even through everything that has happened.. we now have a great cast and being friends with the locals and the mayor never hurts finding a place to meet shoot things like that...

Why do i write all of this.. I jsut think its important to tell a story behind the process of what I KNOW many of you have went through also.. so with a great cast , limited crew.. extra small budget... I want to make this experience the best that I can for everyone involved.. Are we all going to shoot to stardom.. hmmm.. ok we all know that answer. but to have a chance to do what you have dreamed of and see it come to life (someday) LOL... is worth more than anything any company could offer me...

the pic i posted is the entrance where the driver came through... they said his airbag never even went off.. WOW>.. and under all those brick.. you guessed it.. most of my stuff... okok. i got more stuff now but... i needed to dramatize it at least a little..

Rain is all done for a few days. So I hope I can get over this damn flu to get out there and get some more shots done this week... Those fall leaves aren't gonna stay up there forever,.

did some shots today.. damn it was cold out... I want to post a video of one of the scenes .. only because it was so funny... Ok.. the girl is there to get pills from the drug dealer.. she has trouble sleeping.. she later kills him.. but he doesnt know this.. and at the end of the scene he is suppose to say "sweet dreams girl".... but he kept saying "im gonna kill you *****".. and it was like stuck in his head.. I dunno... psycho? haha.. I did a little color correcting but i didnt touch the audio yet so...... jsut did the clip for the fun of it ..

Wanted to post a few more production stills.. these were from my canon 1100d.. jsut using it to take sort of behind the scenes stuff.. let me know what you think..
