Hey everyone. First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who voted for my film "Building Imagination" a while back for the IFC Award. We came in second, which is still a great honor (though a little suspicious considering the video that one received 500 votes in the last 30 minutes).

The film was named one of 25 films for MTVu's Best Filmmaker on Campus award. Here is the link:

Find the one that is for "Mark Potts." It has a nice Christmas photo as it's avatar.

The website encoded it weird, so here is a good version of it:

This was shot on an HVX in two days and I'm really proud of it.

Again, any help and feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I agree, could be half the length. I really enjoyed it though, I just felt myself fast forwarding through a lot of it to get to what would happen next. There's a lot of shots that serve the same purpose as the previous shots.

Concept is fun, its shot well, kid is charming, the edit could just be tighter.

I echo the point about it being to long. To many scenes of him gathering boxes and also after he goes into his imaginary playground.

I really appreciate the comments, thanks guys.
It's crazy, some people like how long it is, some don't (that's what she said... sorry, had to do it). There is a shorter version on our website (75 seconds, actually) so that might be better for those who think the current version is too long.

Again, thanks for the feedback and please vote!

I really enjoyed that. It was almost the view of the world through the eyes of my 4 year old daughter. I enjoyed the leisurely pace of the film which matched that of the boy on a lazy summer day. The details help me to know his character pretty well by the end. Good luck.
