MTV, Wire Image replaces DVX100s with JVC HD100s

I just heard this last night. MTV still uses pro 2/3" cameras for big profile stuff, but is reportedly replacing their DVX100 inventory with JVC HD100s. Wire Image, the leading celebrity photo agency (think of them as the "AP photo" for the stars) also just replaced their Los Angeles bureau DVX100s with three brand new JVC HD100s.

FWIW, the unit of NBC I work for is buying a new DVX100B (we already have five DVX100As), and I just convinced our chief engineer to buy ONE HVX200!!!

HDTV production at a DV pricetag. What could be better? It seems ProHD is building steam. It should, the format is great and the entire workflow is very inexpensive.
