I am new to the Panasonic GH2 and although I am shooting alot of footage I cant seem to import into final cut pro at all. I would really appreciate it if someone can post step by step tutorial or a link to to one on how to do this without losing quality. Thank you guys so much.

You log and transfer that footage after mounting the card. You don't use the import function. It is converted or transcode to pro res for editing.

Tell us what version of FCP you are using on what computer.

Hi david thanks for helping.. I am using a macbook pro 2.6 ghz and using final cut pro 6.0.6. I am using the log and transfer but for some reason the files are showing up gray and wont allow me to click on to log and transfer. Very odd. I downloaded VLC to preview the clips before hand, and the footage files have adopted the VLC logo. But i dont think that would have anything to do with it? just really confused at this moment.... thanks for the help

It's necessary for you to remain your card's "structure."

Without the proper folder structure, log and transfer won't work.

ok.. so i just deleted VLC from my computer, shot new clips on gh2, tried log them and still they are grayed out? What is the deal??
