MTF's AF100 Canon EOS lens adapter with IS and aperture control

Just found this article:

Looks like MTF is producing an adapter in direct competition with Birger. More expensive than the Redrock, but the Redrock only does aperture, doesn't do image stabilization, looks like the MTF one does. Interesting approach MTF is taking is that the adapter has interchangeable mounts, so you buy the one adapter and then you can buy an M43 back for your AF100 or GH2, or an NEX back for your FS100, or an F3 mount for your F3, and who knows, I would presume it could be adapted to other cameras too in the future.

Promising. It'd be nice if they added focus-by-wire, electronic stops, programmable racking (how cool would it be to be able to say, rack focus from 30ft to 10ft, and take 10 seconds to do it?), etc.

The B4 adapter is interesting. I wonder why no MFT mount for it. I have been toying with the idea of adding a B4 lens but not sure if image quality will be that good since B4 are designed for 3 chip image capture plain not single sensors.

The EOS adapter also looks good. I don't think it would be one I would buy because of the added box to control it. Maybe for studio work. I like the idea of a simple aperture controlling adapter with no cables and such. Maybe this isn't doable. I believe the Birger was supposed to be a stand alone adapter right?

MTF have don a B4 - M43 adaptor for some time - it's a dumb adaptor, so you have to use a lens with a 2x extender engaged. I have a couple of Mike Tapa's adaptors and they're the best you can buy IMO.

Birger demo'ed a prototype with an external controller switchable between aperture and follow-focus control. I couldn't gather what the final product will be like from the available info.

We are about to ship a Canon EF to Sony NEX smart adapter. It fits your idea of a small adapter with no box or cable, but given this is an AF100 board we confess our Sony NEX product won't do you any good.

The way I understood it, there was only an EOS mount. From there, you added one of their other EOS lens adapters, which would include their EOS>MFT adapters. What I find curious is the fact the article says they use built in magnification on top of the lens double to cover the S35 chip. Which makes me curious... is there enough magnification to necessitate using the doubler with a MFT chip?
