MP3 music downloads

That is not nec true. There are sites that have music you can use for free. But you are right if he was asking about music he might want to stick on his iPod.

But free doesn't = piracy, there is a lot of public domain and some CC and other affordable rights plans.

I have a list of links I compiled the other day.

The following sites are either free or very cheap. *In some cases you need to sign an agreement and in most you need to give credit but all are affordable places to get music that is either in the public domain OR that you can get synchronization rights for little or free.

Cheers

Wow thanks for the responses. I'm not interested in stealing... just was shocked when I started to search for music that was available in the past. The Internet Archive is the type of site I was looking for but didn't have the selection I was interested in.

In my opinion the best music site (at least for movie music) is Incompetech.com. The guy who runs it is a very skilled musician and all of his music is royalty free.

I will second this. He has great stuff for free. If you have the coinage, Chadfish can do music for you, and he's good.
