Moving to LA

You should look into Orange county as well. Its a but of a comute but you can stay close to a beach in a nice area for around $1200.

I cant particulaly point a certain place because I dont live in LA anymore.

If you don't need to be in the middle of things, I live in Montrose, 10 minutes north of downtown, and I love it. It's a little village tucked away in the foothills, with a downtown straight out of Mayberry. They actually shoot a lot of stuff up here because of it's small town feel. Just last week they were shooting House, got to watch Hugh Laurie walking up and down the street all day. If you're young and single, might not be the place, but if you got a family to take care of it's great, and not too far from the action. The saying around here is Montrose is for the newly wed and the nearly dead.
