Moving on from DVX100b - on ebay now

I lost the password to my previous account, so opened this one

After using the DVX series of cameras for over 5 years, I have since moved on to HD equipment, and have had my DVX100B sitting in my closet for the last 12 months.

Dunno if this is kosher on the site, but I wanted someone who would put it to good to end up w/ the camera. After months of trying to sell it locally / regionally, I finally gave up and went to ebay. Two nigerian scammer attempts later, its still for sale.

It ends tonight around midnight on ebay

Under 200 hours, three OEM batteries (2, 4, and 8 hr...all with about 80% life left on them), two chargers (one OEM, one aftermarket) B+W Multicoat Polarizer, and a Burton Zoom Pack. All in like new condition...all going for a first bid of $1800 bucks. I used it on three trips, and then finished the project and upgraded to HD equipment. Owned, operated, and maintained solely by myself

I'd love for someone thats getting into filmmaking to grab the camera, since its ready to shoot but it just sits around my office.

Admins / Mods - I dunno if its even cool I put this post here ? If not, you can delete it. Just thought a community member might get a good deal on a sweet cam

Best of luck. Looks though you are a bit on the high side for used. Just a quick check looks like the running price for a used DVX100b is 1,200

Yeah I wasnt 100%, but given the fact the three batteries are like new, a $200 filter, and the Burton bag...as a shooting kit I thought it was nicely priced

I understand your logic but the fact is the camera is still priced too high.
The number of bids you are receiving backs me up.
I wish you luck but have my doubts you'll get the price you expect.

It is a nice set-up.

I'm watching it just to see what it finally sells for.

Five years ago I'd be interested in adding it to my own collection but...with so much going HD, even with my other gear I'm having to look at equipment in a different light.

Best of luck selling it. It looks in good shape and your price point is getting closer to what I thought it should be.

Thanks! Using the dvx was super reliable for me, but work wise I just kept getting so many requests for HD, that I finally made the jump.

I used the dvx series from the original 100, to the A, and then to the B...always having a good experience.

If anyone on these boards is interested in the cam, I'd be happy to take it off ebay and knock $100 bucks off the price, since ebay and paypal will take those fees from me anyway
