Movies You Would Rather Vomit On Than Watch Twice

Dreamgirls.

Except for maybe the short scenes with Eddie Murphy's oscar upsetting performance. That one song, I'm not gonna leave, or whatever the hell... The one that went on for 15 minutes... Christ... And this coming from a man who enjoys musicals...

And, The Invasion. The one with Kidman and Daniel Craig. Dear lord. Admittedly, I saw a pre-screening of this, so parts may have changed, but good god, what an awful movie.

Agree with Dreamgirls.

There are many films that I would really avoid at all costs seeing again. Most recent ones are:

The Spirit
The Wolfman
Transformers 2

Once something has been done a first time with Billie Dee Williams, it does not need to be done a second time. I'm just saying.

Same with The Day The Earth Stood Still.

Thanks, I still haven't watched it. I'll probably just ignore it.

Knowing sucked too, the same as District 9 and Gamer and such. :Drogar-Thinking(DBG Lots of big-budget crap lately, I wonder how crap projects like that get such a huge funding?

But Surrogates was OK, I enjoyed it. A good popcorn movie.

Okay this may be controversial because there are people out there that love this film but I absolutely loathe REQUIEM FOR A DREAM

I'm prepared to take flak from those that love this film because hey ... its just my opinion but I will point out that everyone I've met
who has had any experience with heroin or has know people who have experimented with heroin or have lived in a heroin neighbourhood
share my opinion. The only people I have met who like this film are arty farty types who basically don't have a clue about heroin and its environ.

Pet hates. The creators of this film ...

1. did not bother to do their research - heroin makes pupils get smaller not larger as they showed in such detail so many times during this disgrace of a film

2. contribute to putting heroin on a pedestal by gratuitously showing the 'act' in such a way that many other films have done in the past including Pulp Fiction
yet justify this exploitation morally with a storyline that has been rehashed so many times since Less Than Zero LINK (and others)

3. came up with a really obvious set of juxtapositions that help sell this as arty. Spring, Summer Winter? oh please. get original. The other comparison between
the 'punishments' of the three characters - electro shock therapy, amputation and prostitution goes beyond being lame.

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't state that redeeming elements are its editing and its music and for that alone I would give kudos.
It's the Kronos Quartet - buy the soundtrack.
But save your neflix rental money and don't even bother with the torrent.

Magnolia
Requiem for a Dream

I couldn't agree more.

What? That movie is incredible.

Requiem is a great movie but not something I'd want to see again.

None of them really did anything for me. They are all OK films and not on the vomit list, just nothing I'd go out and buy.

I just saw Requiem for a Dream, its definitely on the list. What garbage; right up there with Love, Liza. No plot, no up points, just a long downward spiral and crash at the end. Worthless.

Bob

"What? That movie is incredible."

I'd have to agree with you it was pretty damn good, however some of the lines sounded a little funny/off.

for me there isn't a movie, I'd much rather watch from justin to kelly over puking.... okay maybe there are a few but seems to me this is more about what movies you don't like very much. Because some of these movies aren't that bad and if you would puke over watching them you have some serious issues, i know it's just a thread title just found it interesting what peoples answers were to the question.

hyperbole is fun, I like this obscure movie and hate the obviously better one just because it came out as I was learning about film and I'm better than it... so there..... ah the human condition.

it's funny what the things we chose to hate say about us.

We are all entitled to our opinions, but that alone does not make them right.

(I wonder what this says about me...)

for me is mostly the content and the writing that carries a movie; if there is a contra moment, or something that does not jive logistically, i am done with it.

that said, obvious cinematics, a la Avatar and Star Wars, sicken me; i dont want CG effects to be showcased in a movie; i want them to be seamless and really mesh... Avatar and the more recent 3 Star Wars movies, as well as certain scenes from Iron Man were IMO terrible; so obviously CGI. That is the only thing i really dislike in a movie; obvious plot or graphics issues.

Your comment may not be aimed at me but I feel the urge to respond as if it was. I agree with your statement and was fully aware that I show my colours on my sleeve when I wrote. I have spent the best part of a decade in an apartment above one of the hottest spots in brooklyn where diesel ran thru there like a river. I've witnessed too much to let an exploitive film like REQUIEM get lapped up by clueless art film buffs without a comment from me.

there is no movie worth puking over. if i don't like it, it's a done deal...i'll never see it again, just like an old girlfriend. i bought into this thread for a minute, but it's not going anywhere. just like a bad movie. this is just, like, my opinion, man.

I'd suggest 'not bothering' with the illicit torrent of *anything*, whether you like it or not. Unless you (the generic 'you,' not the specific) happen to be comfortable with thievery, in which case I rather hope you turn out to be one of those people who land in court facing a multi-million dollar content-theft suit which merely having to defend against will ruin you, for life...

yeah was not aiming it at you was just kind of thinking out loud (or rather online). And though I liked requiem I do agree with your points against it.
