Movies you just Love too much...

Anyone else have a movie they love? For no real reason, not because its made well or anything else, but you just love it? Sticks with you? It's not considered my "favorite" movie but I love the movie Bedazzled. Has no real film merit, not the funniest movie ever, but I could watch it forever... Who else has a movie like this?

Gone in 60 Seconds. The Jerry Bruckheimer produced remake with Nicolas Cage. Yeah, laugh at me if you want.

Another Bruckheimer one, Armageddon, has some really lame parts, but man, it really comes together once they actually reach the asteroid. Armageddon isn't the best sci-fi action film ever made, but I can always go for some Bayhem. He also shoots perty pictures for his films too. I like perty pictures, especially when they move. Speaking of Mr. Bay, I thought that The Island was underrated and is actually his strongest film in my opinion. The Rock always grabs me when it is on TV, even if only to hear Michael Biehn's Navy SEAL character say, "I sh*t you not" while he is briefing his SEAL team.

While on the subject of cheesy big budget movies, I have to admit that if I turn on the TV and come across Independence Day, then I'm screwed because I just must watch it for some reason.

How about John Carpenter's They Live? Which has one of the longest fight scenes ever and is an all around fun B movie from the late 80's.

Robert Rodriguez's From Dusk til Dawn and Planet Terror are also fun cheesy guilty pleasure films that I really admire for their outrageousness. As for zombies, Dawn of the Dead, the Zac Snyder remake from 2004. It may not be the best zombie film (that would be a tie between the original Night of the Living Dead and 28 Days Later), but a very good one that I can always go for watching.

And finally, no list of this kind would be complete without FLASH... AH AA!!!! The uber campy 1980 cheesefest known as Flash Gordon.

Gee, there are just too many to list. But I'll throw out one: NIGHT OF DARK SHADOWS. It's not a great movie, but if you are in love with Gothic Revival architecture, this is heaven. It was filmed entirely on the Lyndhurst estate in Tarrytown, N.Y. The house is widely considered to be the most outstanding surviving example of Gothic Revival residential architecture; it designed by Alexander Jackson Davis, who was the major proponent of the style in the U.S. in the early-mid 19th century.

Can't wait for this one to come out on DVD (expected around the time they release the new DARK SHADOWS film with Johnny Depp).

my favorite movie right now is probably Children of Men, for film merit, however like I said Bedazzled just "hits" me I guess. Oh also Bill and Ted's Big Adventure...love that also

oh ya I totally forgot about Better off Dead no idea how I did, I remember catching it randomly on tv one night and I fell in love with it =P

Idle Hands. A really stupid '90s teen horror comedy. But it has a charming morbid feel to it. Also, it has Jessica Alba in one of her earliest film roles. What ever happened to Devin Sawa anyway? The only way I'll watch Idle Hands is on the VHS copy I have.

Mortal Kombat. I just can't help myself, when the punches start rolling in that movie it brings up all my favorite MK childhood memories of gruesome fatalities.
