Movie Trailer

Hey I'm new to Los Angeles and looking for people to work with and work for...If you need any help or just want to network let me know.

Anyway, here's a Promo Trailer I cut using the 15% of the movie that was shot. It has some DVX100a footage towards the later part of the Trailer, but most of it is Varicam. They are using it to raise the money to finish the film, I'm slated to edit the final film. It's the "Evil Ground" clip.

Also, I was very well know world wide prior to moving to LA, here's my last demo of footage, I shot and edited for my old company that I've now closed down. It's currently hosted on a site for a company, my friend and I are starting.

Anyhow, along with sharing, It's a shameless plug to find work and network with locals.

okay, what were you, like a Pop singer in france or something? ;)

I'm downloading your clip right now.. I'll let you know.

Re: Movie Trailer

You some nice compositions. I didn't expect this to be a wedding video. It looks really sweet. You have a good eye. I also like the last samuari soundtrack you used.

Thanks, yeah, it's wedding footage, but too many people told me I needed to get out of the wedding video industry and head out to LA, I was averaging $7500+ a wedding, but felt limited creatively.

Re: Movie Trailer

that looks cool, I'm in Sherman Oaks, how far's Hermosa Beach.

Well, probably 10 or 15 miles south on the 405.

It only took me 25 minutes to get there from Encino this morning, but it's more like 4 hours on a weekday.  ;)

(It's Manhattan Beach adjacent)

Re: Movie Trailer

If you're just in Sherman Oaks, we need to hook up on a project. I'm 5 minutes from you. Just by Lake Balboa. And I work in Studio City.

In fact I think all they have in Studio City is sushi. It's ridiculous. Oh, and a McDonald's. But I hear their sushi is made of soy products. (but enough ketchup will fix that)

Vetura from Sherman Oaks to Studio City is littered with Sushi, if figured if you worked down there it would be at a Sushi place as that seems to be all there is, LOL, JK ;D

Re: Movie Trailer

HA!

And it totally blows for me, because I'm not a hardcore sushi fan, so I'm pretty limited with places to go for lunch. There are seriously 2 sushi joints to every restaurant right around Ventura and Laurel.

Re: Movie Trailer

man, I hate sushi! I perfer my foods cooked. How can you guys eat raw meat like that? I eat my steaks fully cooked. I'm a ninja turtle, I suggest pizza!

Re: Movie Trailer

I think you did a good move. Some pretty good wedding photography in your demo, the music remembered me King Arthur soundtrack.

Re: Movie Trailer

Thanks bro, it's a difficult line of work to do with virtually no set up time and no 2nd takes :) Nearly everything is handheld.

Did you watch the trailer edit? Funny, no one has commented on that.
