Movie Trailer - Need Your Feedback

Hey guys,
I'm looking for feedback on a feature film I'm editing. I uploaded the trailer on Youtube and would love to get your opinions. I'm just a lame college student who made a horror movie about a man who becomes a serial killer while trying to be a teacher. This is a rough cut. I still have to re-render it again. Thanks... Sorry for the double post. It was an accident.

I don't really "get" the filter you threw on there. I mean, what's the point? Because, aesthetically it just looks like you threw a photoshop filter all over your footage.

As for the trailer, I found some of the cuts pretty jarring...especially the way the music cuts in and out. Tonally, is this supposed to be scary or funny? Is it both?
 
I think the trailer is pretty confusing. I don't know anything more about the movie after watching it but I DO get to see the characters. See if you can make it both. Try and tell the synopsis of the film with the trailer.

Thanks for the feedback... I really appreciate it. The motivation was to create a horror film with an animation style. I'll go ahead and pay someone to edit the trailer, instead of trying to do it myself. I welcome criticism it's the only way I can get better.
