Movie Soundtrack favorites?

Related to the Bond stuff, the theme from The Black Hole is Barry-licious and always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Can't believe I didn't think of that.
One of my favorites - along with his I heart Huckabee's soundtrack.
The man in fantastic.

"Yo-Yo Ma Plays Ennio Morricone" is a pretty fantastic album. http://www.amazon.com/Yo-Yo-Ma-Plays-Ennio-Morricone/dp/B0002YCVXI

Ennio Morricone is my favorite film composer, but each film's soundtrack isn't exactly great for listening straight through.

Damn - how did I not think of that one either? I have that album too, it's killer.

So much good stuff in this thread.

This has to be the most epic 70's car chase music ever. Roy Budd from the movie Fear is the Key--

Sounds cool. Not sure if your familiar with Mike Oldfield:Tubular Bells, probably.
Along the same lines, a bit.

Most recognized from the Excorcist movie.

I didn't 'really' get into this album but it's noteworthy.
King Crimson (on one album) and Steve Reich have had something along the same lines of recurring interweaving patterns. Kansas to a much lesser degree.
I digress.

Yeah, that distant (etheral?) Middle East music is interesting. I notice the movie Black Hawk Down had a little of the same thing in a few scenes. Actually sounds pretty cool.

If I can find the exact sample I'm thinking of I'll post it. Meantime, a quick example of that soundtrack...

Well, I won't spend all night looking for it. It's during the scene where they penetrate the city.
At any rate, more from the soundtrack. Cool stuff man.

//edit: A little depressing though, to be honest. :)

David and Kyle above, please check your links. You don't include the 'v=' part of the link or else you get the white page that you both have posted.

For example, Davids link would look like this, without the *

So, here's those links...

My soundtrack library is filled with John Williams my favorite probably being the CE3K soundtrack. But been digging Hans Zimmer's work.

John Williams "The Mountain" I played this in on my cell phone at 7 in the morning standing in front of Devils Tower on my motorcycle trip out West. What a geek.
