Movie on HPX 500

looks good!
what I will say (which you really can't fix now) but the gun at the end had no recoil at all...
it made it seem really fake

Looks decent, Im suprised at how inconsistant the look is. Was this shot with the same cam on every shot. Maybe it's me, but some of the scenes had a filmic look and some looked very videoish. The acting was good, shot comp was good.

There has been no color correction on this. This is straight out of the camera. The consistency will tighten up after a pass of color.

The shot with the gun was never meant to have recoil. I just put that in there hoping the trailer would help.

Paul,

Did you do any filtration at the camera? The HPX500 looks fantastic. I'm a big fan of Black ProMist and Classic Softs for HD and wonder if you considered them?

I like 1/8 and 1/4 BPM, but find the 1/2 to be too much. The full isn't even in the kit. Is the Panavision Pro Fog comparable to BPM?

Actually Panavision pro fogs are not misted with black. Unfortunately they are no longer available. Everyone that has a set pretty much holds onto it.

Very nice. The gun shot is unrealistic in all departments. It aims too high, the flash is shaped like a cross, the sound reflection is what a stadium would produce, and the energy is too low compared to the dialogue. It might as well pop a flag with Bang! written on it:) You could cut before the actual shot and just have the audio on black perhaps.

I completely agree with cutting to black and just leaving sound, much better than the fx.
